ESA Bed & Carpet

ESA Bed & Carpet is a comprehensive e-commerce marketplace built for a UK-based furniture and flooring retailer, enabling customers to browse, configure, and purchase beds, carpets, and mattresses through a seamless online experience.

The platform features a highly configurable bed builder where customers can personalise their order across multiple dimensions — including size, base type, headboard height, fabric and colour, button detailing, ottoman storage, split requirements, assembly options, and room-of-choice delivery. Each option is independently priced, and the total is calculated dynamically based on selections.

Carpets support a flexible pricing matrix, allowing each product to have multiple size and price combinations so customers can select the exact dimensions they need. Mattresses follow a similar model with size-based pricing tied to each product.

The cart system supports both guest and authenticated users, storing a full snapshot of selected options and pricing at the time of adding — ensuring order accuracy even if product prices change later. Checkout integrates with Stripe and PayPal for secure payment processing.

The admin panel provides full CRUD management for all product types, image management with main image selection, order tracking with status updates, and sales statistics. The backend is built as a REST API in Laravel, consumed by a React frontend.
