Payment gateway integration
Take payments on your website or web app with Stripe, Stripe Connect or PayPal: one-off checkouts, subscriptions and marketplace payouts, with webhooks that keep your records accurate.
Payments that fit your business
Most payment setups take one of a few shapes: a checkout for products or bookings, recurring subscriptions, or a platform that collects money and pays other people. I have built all three.
On Azure Private Hire, customers get an instant fare and pay for their journey by Stripe in the same flow. On ESA Bed & Carpet, Stripe and PayPal handle checkout for both guests and registered customers.
Stripe Connect and payouts
If your platform takes payments on behalf of others, such as sellers, drivers or service providers, Stripe Connect handles their onboarding and payouts. At DBQP Labs I build Laravel and Node.js applications on Stripe and Stripe Connect, including the webhooks that drive payouts, subscriptions and the full transaction lifecycle.
Webhooks done properly
Most payment bugs are not in the checkout, they are in what happens afterwards: a payment succeeds but the order is never marked paid, or a refund never reaches your records. I build the webhook handling that keeps your records in step with Stripe, so successful payments, refunds and payouts are all reflected automatically.
Adding payments to an existing site
You do not need a new website to start taking payments. I can add checkout, subscriptions or invoicing to an existing Laravel, PHP, React or Next.js application.
Common questions
How much does payment gateway integration cost?
There are two costs. Stripe and PayPal charge a fee per transaction, with no setup fee on their standard plans. The development cost depends on what you need: a single checkout is a small job, while subscriptions or Stripe Connect payouts take more work. Tell me what you want to charge for and I will quote it.
Should I use Stripe or PayPal?
Stripe is usually the better base for custom websites and apps, especially for subscriptions or marketplaces. Many stores add PayPal alongside it because some customers prefer to pay that way, which is what ESA Bed & Carpet does.
Is it secure?
Card details are entered into Stripe's or PayPal's own secure forms and never touch your server, which keeps card data and most of the compliance burden off your hands.
