AI integration for web apps
Add AI to the website or web app you already have: search that understands questions, summaries of long records, draft content, and documents turned into structured data, built on the OpenAI or Claude APIs.
Features, not a separate product
Most businesses do not need a new AI product. They need a few useful AI features inside the system they already use: search that understands what people mean, a summary at the top of a long record, a first draft of a reply or description, or an uploaded document turned into fields in your database.
Built into your stack
I integrate AI the same way I integrate any third-party service, and I have integrated plenty: Stripe and Stripe Connect, PayPal, Google Maps, Telnyx and Pusher. The model sits behind your own API, with your business rules, permissions and error handling around it, so the AI is a component of your application rather than something bolted on.
Costs and privacy under control
AI APIs charge per use, so I design features to call the model only when it adds value, cache results where possible, and set limits so costs stay predictable. Sensitive data is only sent where it is needed, and you choose the provider.
Laravel, Node.js, React and Next.js
Whether your application runs on Laravel, Node.js or Next.js, AI features fit into the existing codebase rather than a separate system you then have to maintain.
Common questions
How much does AI integration cost?
It depends on the feature and how much of your data it needs to work with. A single feature like summaries or drafting is a contained job, while search across a large document library takes more work. There is also the provider's per-use fee, which I estimate with you before building.
Should I use OpenAI or Claude?
Both are strong, and the right one depends on the task, the price and where your data is allowed to go. I build features so the provider can be swapped later without rewriting them.
Can you add AI to an older application?
Usually, yes. If there is an API or a codebase I can work in, AI features can be added alongside what is already there, the same way payments or maps would be.
